Mt Olive official charged with criminal contempt
Mount Olive’s council president has been charged with criminal contempt after allegedly violating a restraining order that barred him from contacting his estranged wife.
The charges against Alex Roman, 41, stem from text messages he sent to his wife on Aug. 26, according to the criminal complaint filed with the Mount Olive Municipal Court. Roman also "knowingly disobeyed" the protective order by twice entering the Budd Lake home he and his wife shared, the complaint said.
