Old Perkins - Adams Bagels
Has anyone been to the new Adam's Bagels?
Does anyone know if they have green bagels for St Patrick's Day?
I haven't been there yet, but I passed by yesterday and it was packed! I'm hoping to try it out sometime soon.
Come back and post if you go. I'm curious as to how it is and what kinds of food they have there.
Every time I pass by it seems like the lot is always full. Must have good food. I'll check it out tomorrow and let you know.
Have been there twice for bagels, once for lunch. The bagels are good as are take out sandwiches. Lunch food was good but they are still working out service issues -- very slow. Have seen many people, including myself walk out rather than wait. Hopefully they get it together. Want them to succeed.
Also looking for green bagels.
I just got two bagels last night on my way home to try this morning for breakfast. They reheated very nicely! I put them in the freezer when I got home and then this morning put them in the microwave for 50 seconds, cut it, then put it in the toaster to get crunchy.
They also had pretty good prices. I would definitely get them again.

My wife and I ate there today. Not as busy as they have been in the past. The food was pretty good. There were some awkward moments but I will blame that on them being new. The atmosphere did feel kind of weird, but I can't describe it. Maybe the lighting was too low or maybe they need brighter lights. Didn't know if it was suppose to be like a walk up deli or a diner. Turns out its both. Prices were decent. I will go back. Their desserts looked delicious and I want to try a taste.

I had an Adam's cinnamon-raisin bagel this morning. It was ok, I thought the dough may be missing some salt. I still prefer Hot Bagels Abroad.
Here is a picture of my Adam's bagel.
I agree Travis, the lighting was very dim and I wasn't sure if it was all order at the counter and then sit down, sit and be waited on or either.
Also, their desserts were not labeled with descriptions or prices which made it difficult for me to figure out what I wanted.
Chris, I do like bagels abroad better too. But, if I am in a rush in the morning Adams is on the way to work. So it's convenient.
Their sandwiches were quite large, I could barely eat half. And the prices were decent. The apparently have gelato there, which would be a nice summer dessert if it's any good. I have their menu, if I can remember I will try to post it.
i do not like adam's bagels and grill it was terrible service and just a bunch of teens goofing around we had to wiat literallly 25 minuets for the girl to take are order when she was standing right there food = yuck
Danibean- Did you notice a Manager standing around?
I have heard rave reviews about their food when they were over in Jefferson on Rt. 15. I was told their breads are really good.
Thanks for posting menu, even though it's not very legible as an image that size.
"Variety is our Specialty" is rarely a good thing. I wish more places would niche themselves at making a handful of great products instead of a plethora of mediocre items.
I guess when I uploaded the image it downsized the picture. Oh well. If you are really interested you can email me and I'll send you a better version or you can pick one up yourselves.
I dont really like it there. Their food is average and there services are terrible. They have managing skills they need to work. I wouldnt recommend going there to eat. Go to IHOP if you want to eat out for breakfast

Went again last night to eat. I ordered a Tuna Melt. I guess it was open face but I got a piece of toast with a bunch of tuna salad piled on top with a slightly melted piece of cheese.
Don't think I'll order it again. The tuna salad was good, but it was cold (not a melt), also I may be picky but I guess I expected more than a slice of Kraft singles on top. It was like they put it under a heat lamp for a few seconds.
I did order some of their rainbow cookies which were delicious. It was a bar covered in chocolate, with white, yellow, pink, red filling that tasted like Amaretto/almond deliciousness.
It definitely looks like cheese products, which contains no cheese. Maybe they think it melts good like cheeze whiz on a Philadelphia cheese steak.
They have the best bagels on this side of the Hudson River! I used to live in NYC, and would ONLY eat bagels from Essa Bagel, which I have always felt (and I am not the only one!) are the best bagels in the world. But I am SO happy that we discovered Adam's, because actually their bagels are about as good, if not better than, those from Essa Bagel! The Cinnamon Raisins especially are huge and really soft on the inside like they're supposed to be. The Whole Grain is amazing. My wife is crazy about their Everything bagels. The service people are very nice. Also, they have tofu cream cheese, which is awesome. I have them make Raisin Walnut Tofu Cream Cheese for me, and it is TO DIE FOR. (Try it!!) The only hassle is that they always have to make it to order, so it takes a few minutes. But it is well worth the wait. Haven't tried eating anything else there yet but bagels. But I can sure vouch for the bagels!!
Note to Adams: Essa Bagel has a Pumpernickel Raisin bagel that is awesome. You should try and copy that one!
The food is excellent. Try the Prime Rib, so delicious and tender
I think they have an excellent cook, large selection on the menu, nice staff...
I hope they will do well there and not leave the area..
Very pleased with Adams...
Our office went to Adams for a birthday lunch for one of the team in February. It was all of our first time there since Adam's opened. We were greeted by a polite staff member who was not bothered by the fact we were picky about where we wanted to sit. The owner himself came out and told us to make ourselves comfortable. We found the menu full of choices, plus blackboard specials. The waiter was professional and friendly. When it came to the food, all seven of us were very pleased with the quality and portions. The soup was clearly homemade, fresh and delicious. Everyone was more than happy with their order. The waitress checked back often to see if anything else was needed. The prices were more than reasonable. After the meal a few of us shopped in the bakery. All and all I would not heasitate to recommend Adam's and plan to return with my family in the near future. Some of the reviews here seem to be way off base in their criticism. If you want some good eats for a fair price, Adams should be on your short list.
Would not go back there again. We had four different waitresses, the table was tipping to the side, ordered the cheeseburger sliders and they were horrible! We did get desert, and that was pretty good, but would not go back there and eat a meal!
My Family and I have been loyal customers of Adams since they opened and there menu, food, quality, quantity in portions and pricing cannot be beat!!! I repeat cannot be beat!!! They have plenty of room for my large family when we gather for breakfast every weekend. Their service is top notch. Their food is as fresh as could possibly be since everything is prepared cooked or baked on the premises. They have a great reputation for their fresh baked bagels, bread and bakery items. There menu is huge with basically everything you could think of from breakfast, lunch or dinner that’s cooked fresh to order every time and served all day long. They have out done themselves with everything they have to offer. They have done a great job on becoming a landmark in Mount Olive and neighboring towns. Huge parking, huge dining rooms definitely our families #1 place to eat. We recommend this place to everyone that loves great food, big portions and low prices!!!
